Get Involved

There are numerous ways to get involved at Robeson, whether you have an hour or a hundred hours. Scroll this page for links to PTA membership, small and large fundraisers, and more. See the About the PTA page for information on committees and clubs.

Officially joining the PTA is not required, but it helps us collect contact information and helps us pay the Illinois PTA dues. Dues are $6 per person or $10 per couple. Membership forms are sent home at the beginning of the year, or you can sign-up online at our MemberHub site. You can also access a copy of our membership form here. Let us know if you have any questions or issues!

Volunteer at Events

The PTA – and the school – could not host so many community-building events without volunteers. Even a 30-minute shift can help. The events where we need help include the Falapalooza, book fairs, Fun Day, and more. Look for opportunities to sign up on the Facebook page, the Calendar tab, and on fliers that come home with your student.

Volunteer in the School

In addition to the events that the PTA hosts and staffs, you can volunteer in the school, such as in your child’s classroom or the library.  directly with the school’s volunteer coordinator, Jacquelyn Monroe. Look for her email on the school’s staff listing.

You can also volunteer to help out or even run a student club at Robeson. See club details on the About the PTA page and contact us with ideas.

We also would not be able to serve the Robeson community so well if we did not have generous donations. We need donations for hospitality events (i.e. monthly teacher lunches), fundraisers (i.e. silent auction baskets), and school supplies. This is also a great way to help out if your schedule doesn’t allow you to attend many events. Look for requests on the Facebook page and fliers, or send funds in to the PTA marked with your intent.

If you are able to make a minimal commitment, consider joining one of the PTA committees, or even the executive board (which is elected once per year toward the end of the school year). See the committee list on the PTA information page and contact us for more information.
